Phillips Contribution
Phillips was contracted to install a 4–pole 230kV and 16-pole 115kV dead-end structure consisting of 20 drilled shafts of multiple sizes, 110’ direct–embed poles, and associated hardware. The pre-cast, concrete poles were 110’ long and weighed 60,000 lbs. Phillips developed and enacted a comprehensive work plan to safely erect these direct–embed structures and complete all hardware framing after installation.
