At Phillips, diversity strengthens everything we build. As a certified Woman-Owned Business, we bring the same straightforward approach to our supplier partnerships that we bring to every infrastructure project. Our supplier diversity program is about creating meaningful connections that lead to better solutions and infrastructure that serves communities for generations. We believe in building relationships as solid as our work—because when we say integrity comes first, we mean it extends to everyone we work with.
Our WBE journey
Phillips received Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) certification in 2019, though our woman-owned status began earlier. Before founder Ted Phillips’ passing, his wife Avis Phillips became Chairman with full authority over management and all common stock, officially making us a woman-owned enterprise in 2016.
Avis has been integral to Phillips throughout its 70+ year history since our founding in 1952. Her leadership continues our legacy while reinforcing our commitment to excellence that’s proven through relentless work ethic, uncompromising quality, and unwavering focus on safety.
