Project Overview
This project was performed by Avisco prior to being acquired by Phillips. Avisco was contracted to perform soil remediation for three separate wetland areas along the stream contaminated with Cesium-137
Phillips Contribution
Scope of work for the project included extensive improvements to over 5.5 miles of existing site access roads; clearing, grubbing, and construction of crane mat reinforced wetland access roads; establishment and maintenance of extensive sediment and erosion control systems; excavation, packaging, transport, and disposal of Cesium-137 contaminated soil; and extensive site restoration activities to return disturbed areas to near natural conditions.
